GS Battery Accompanies the "Hazard and Safety Situation Identification" Program at Two Elementary Schools in Ho Chi Minh City

In the atmosphere of the weekly flag-raising ceremony, students from Nguyen Cong Tru Elementary School and Tran Nhan Tong Elementary School (Binh Tri Dong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) participated in a special exchange session regarding hazard situation identification skills and traffic safety. The program was organized by the National Traffic Safety Committee in coordination with BVOT Group, with the companionship of GS Battery Vietnam – a business that always focuses on fulfilling social responsibility and spreading traffic safety education to children.

At the schoolyard, thousands of students from all grades were exposed to many real-life traffic situations in urban areas: identifying blind spots when moving near large vehicles; observing safely when crossing the street; paying attention to situations when standing near where a bus stops to drop off passengers; or recognizing potential risks at the school gate during rush hour. The interactive questions were designed to be simple but addressed common safety errors made by children directly: “Why shouldn't you stand close to the rear of a car?”, “Where should you stand when next to a large vehicle?”, “How do you wear a helmet correctly?”... Each correct answer received cheers and hundreds of raised hands, helping the children proactively memorize self-protection skills.

Unlike dry theoretical teaching methods, the program was designed in the form of situational games, helping students not only listen but also "see – understand – react". The atmosphere in the schoolyard was therefore as lively as an extracurricular activity; the children discussed together, boldly proposed safe solutions, and received direct feedback from experts.

Alongside the interactive activities, the organizing committee presented small gifts to the participating students and teachers, serving as practical encouragement for their serious learning spirit. Notably, GS Battery Vietnam sponsored two large mobile awnings for the school to serve outdoor activities under erratic sunny and rainy weather conditions. This is a long-term support, helping students have a safer and more comfortable activity space during skills education programs.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Toshitada Aoki – representative of GS Battery Vietnam – shared: “GS Vietnam is very interested in social activities, and we realize this event is extremely meaningful. GS Vietnam always believes that educating about 'Hazard Situation Identification Skills' and raising traffic safety awareness early on is an important foundation to help children know how to protect themselves and those around them when participating in traffic. This is also part of our long-term commitment to the community.”

This exchange session marks a continuation of similar programs that GS has accompanied in the past, such as the 'Hazard Situation Identification' program organized at two elementary schools in the remote area of Ea Knuec, Dak Lak

Not only bringing encouraging rewards, GS Vietnam's companionship contributes to creating a healthy learning environment, helping students understand that traffic safety is not just "rules," but a habit of protecting oneself and others. The program's goal remains consistent: building a generation of students capable of identifying risks and proactively choosing safe behaviors.

The smiles, eager eyes, and the boldness in proposing handling solutions by the children during the early-week flag ceremony are clear proof: when children are given the opportunity to learn from real-life situations, they will know how to protect themselves sooner. That is also the journey that GS Battery Vietnam wishes to continue accompanying to sow the seeds of “Safety – Knowledge – Future” for the community.
