What happens if the wrong battery is installed in an Auto Start/Stop vehicle?

Batteries in Auto Start/Stop vehicles are designed to withstand the engine repeatedly shutting off and restarting. What happens if the user replaces it with a different type? There are two types of batteries for Auto Start/Stop vehicles: AGM and EFB. In Vietnam, EFB batteries are more common due to their more reasonable price.

EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery) batteries are an upgraded maintenance-free (MF) battery, meaning they still have lead-calcium alloy cathode and anode plates, dilute acid solution, and separators, but the anode plate is manufactured with added carbon additives.
As a result, EFB batteries are able to:
* Double the number of engine starts and handle higher electrical loads when the engine is stopped.
* Double the deep discharge efficiency and number of recharge cycles compared to conventional batteries.
* Help reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

In return, EFB batteries are also about 25% more expensive than conventional batteries.
If you install a maintenance-free battery in an Auto Start/Stop vehicle, the battery can fail very quickly after a few months, resulting in higher costs. Conversely, if an EFB battery is installed in a vehicle without Auto Start/Stop, it will last much longer than a conventional battery.
